Privacy Policy

Your email (for sign-in only) and a username you pick. Your email is never shown to other users.

If you allow location, the app records an approximate area (~150 m) when you open it and at most every 5 minutes while it stays open — never in the background. We use it to confirm you were at a place when you add or refresh a price or write a review, to show nearby prices, and to suggest nearby places that need a price. Your exact coordinates are used only for that check and are not stored. “Remind me when I’m here” reminders are saved only on your phone.

A locally-generated installation ID, OS, and version. Used to detect duplicate accounts from the same device. Not sold, not shared.

Prices you submit, reviews you write, votes you cast, reputation points, badges. This is part of your public profile.

If you enable notifications, we store an Expo push token. Disable anytime from Profile → Notifications.

No Facebook SDK, no Twitter/X pixel. The only cross-app tracking is Google AdMob's, and only if you allow it in Apple's tracking prompt (see below).

Unless you optionally provide one during the owner-claim flow.

Pro subscription payments are handled by Stripe — card numbers never touch our servers (see below).

Apart from one square selfie if you upload an avatar.

Your username, avatar, reputation, badges, and submissions. Not your email, not your push token, not your raw location.

Stores account data and routes magic-link emails. EU + US regions, SOC 2 compliant.

Forwards push messages to Apple/Google. Sees the push token, title, body, and a small non-sensitive data payload (e.g., a place or month the message is about).

If the app crashes, we send a sanitized stack trace. Email, tokens, phone numbers are stripped client-side before sending.

Owner-claim verification codes and prize-claim OTPs go out through Resend. Only used for those flows.

Pricinity shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner at the bottom of some screens and occasional ads inside price lists. To show and measure them, Google receives your device's advertising ID (if available), IP address, and basic device info. On iOS, before the first ad loads we show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — allow for ads better matched to your interests, or decline for contextual (non-personalized) ads only. The app works the same either way. You can reset or limit the ad ID from your OS settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).

Not active in the current app version. When we turn it on: event data (screen views, feature taps) so we can see what needs improving. No email, no exact location, no PII. Hosted in the US.

If you sign up for Pricinity Pro as a business owner, Stripe processes the payment. We store only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status — never your card number.

Profile → Notifications → Off / Critical / Standard / All.

Settings → Delete account. It happens immediately: your profile, reviews, votes, saved places, push token, and location history are erased. Price submissions stay in the public record but are anonymized — your username is removed. You can also email founder@pricinity.com from your account address.

Email founder@pricinity.com and we'll send a JSON export within 30 days (free, once per year).

Use your phone's settings (iOS: Settings → Pricinity → Location · Android: App info → Permissions). The app still works in browse mode.

Active accounts — kept while you use them. Deleted accounts — erased immediately when you delete in the app (within 30 days if you ask by email). Anonymized price submissions stay in the public record indefinitely (part of the community dataset). Internal audit logs and location-ping history are kept for the life of your account and removed with the account when you delete it.

We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, email founder@pricinity.com and we'll remove the account.

Right to know, delete, and opt out of any data sale. We don't sell data — full stop.

Right to access, correction, deletion, portability, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Email founder@pricinity.com to exercise these.

We'll notify you in-app and via the email on file. Your continued use after the change means you accept it. The current version is always at this page.
